2010 AMERICAN LEGION WOOD BAT INVITATIONAL ENTRY FORM Post 499 Fike would like to invite your team to what has become the premier Legion Wood Bat tournament in the Midwest. This will be our 22nd year and will be played from Wednesday, July 7, through Sunday, July 11. There will be 40 teams divided into 8 pools with the winner of each pool advancing to the quarterfinals. Your schedule will be a five-game guarantee, barring interference from Mother Nature. As always, this tournament is open to AMERICAN LEGION TEAMS ONLY.
For those teams that are planning on attending for the first time, we supply one dozen balls per team and an assortment of wood bats for you to use during the tournament. To avoid any confusion on bats being used by teams - ONLY the bats issued at the tournament will be allowed to use in games. There will also be bats on site that may be purchased by your players.
The entry fee is $450.00, and teams will be accepted on a first pay basis. All teams attending the opening ceremonies will receive a $50.00 refund at that time. A minimum deposit of $250.00 will secure your team a spot; with the remainder of the entry fee due before March 1, 2010. If your budget allows and you would like to pay the entire amount now, we will take it. Please make checks payable to Fike Legion Baseball and mail to the address listed at bottom of this page.
